MISS BUD RTR 1/12 UNLIMITED
Flying across the water at speeds of up to 30 mph, the new Pro Boat
1/12 Miss Budweiser RTR Hydro is about as close as you can get to
experiencing firsthand the adrenaline fueled rush of Unlimited Hydro
racing this side of a Nomex suit and a crash helmet.
Born to Run
Meticulously modeled after the most successful unlimited hydro in
racing history, the Pro Boat Miss Budweiser was designed to fulfill
the need for speed just like its full-scale inspiration owned by
legendary racing figure Bernie Little.
Its sleek 27.5" long hull is professionally built from
fiberglass, painted and detailed in authentic Miss Budweiser colors,
and sealed with a fuel-proof clear coat finish. Nestled inside this
gorgeous exterior is a water-cooled Dynamite® .15 Marine nitro
engine, fitted with a tuned pipe. Directional stability is maintained
with a stainless steel rudder that is complemented by a turn fin on
the right sponson.
Providing control is JR's tried-and-true Python pistol grip radio
control system that comes completely installed. The Python's
adjustable trims and steering rate is ideally suited for fine tuning
the handling of the Miss Budweiser to any Sport driver's
satisfaction. Sensitive electronics are kept nice and dry in a
watertight radio box in the rear of the hull.
All that's left for you to provide are 12 "AA" batteries (8
for the transmitter and 4 for the receiver), some 20% nitro, a glow
driver, fuel bottle and tape to seal the radio box. The pull-start
engine eliminates the need for a starter adapter. This truly is a
gas-and-go hydro experience.
Not for the Timid
While Pro Boat's Miss Budweiser is ready-to-run, it's anything but a
toy and could be quite a handful for someone who's completely new to
radio control. If, however, you're an experienced boat driver who
doesn't feel like building or a nitro sedan racer looking to broaden
your horizons, this package will provide plenty of thrills.
Unleashed on a right-turning oval racecourse, our test boat sliced
through the corners at full speed in about a 25' radius. The spoiler,
rudder and turn fin all worked together flawlessly to keep the Miss
Budweiser firmly planted on the water. Acceleration from idle was
simply outstanding. We could literally launch the boat from a near
stand still to racing speed without a hint of cavitation. Once
"on the step," the Miss Budweiser literally flies across
the water with the sponsons barely touching the surface, just like
the big boys. The tuned pipe scream of the big bore Dynamite engine
at 30 mph produces its share of goose bumps too.
You'd be hard pressed to find any ready-to-run nitro boat that even
comes close to the 1/12-scale Miss Budweiser from Pro Boat. Its
superb fiberglass construction and outstanding engine and radio
equipment give you an out-of-box experience on par with most anything
you could build for yourself. If you desire the satisfaction of
nitro-fueled radio controlled hydro action, this Bud's for you.
*The Pro Boat Miss Budweiser is available in the U.S. and U.S.
